Offshore horse

overview

Offshore hoses are hoses specifically designed for use at sea. There are two types: orange hoses suitable for transporting drinking water, and green hoses with anti-static wires woven in for transporting oil and chemicals.
When used for oil transfer, it has the same performance as a Chemicil hose, so the choice of hose depends on the operating pressure and diameter. However, for installations at sea, an offshore hose is recommended.

Hose technical data

  • Standard colors: Orange (for water supply), Green (for oil transfer, etc.)
  • Maximum length: 200m
  • Minimum bursting pressure: 58 bar
  • Maximum operating pressure (or the operating pressure of the coupling, whichever is lower): 15 bar (fuel oil), 29 bar (water, food ingredients, etc.)
  • Operating fluid temperature range: -50 to +50°C
  • Operating ambient temperature range: -50 to +50℃
  • Recommended pH range: 5-9

Hose features

  1. Seamless, single-piece construction

The Offshore Horse is made from a single-layer woven jacket.
The jacket features a seamless, one-piece construction using the "Through-the-Weave" method, which integrates highly elastic polyester with a tough yet flexible polyurethane resin, resulting in excellent abrasion resistance against scratches and other damage.
Furthermore, since each cable can be manufactured up to a maximum length of 200m (common to all sizes from 25 to 300A), it can be quickly deployed and retrieved even when laid over long distances.

  2. Low pressure loss

Thanks to its special jacket structure, the hose expands significantly in diameter when pressurized, minimizing pressure loss and enabling water delivery over long distances.

  3. Robust structure

It has excellent weather resistance and can withstand harsh environments such as direct sunlight in midsummer.
Highly flexible offshore hoses can adapt to various ground conditions, allowing for installation on uneven terrain without compressing the hose. They also boast superior durability even in harsh environments and are designed to require virtually no maintenance. Unlike pipes, they are resistant to abrasions and cuts, as well as corrosion and peeling, and exhibit strong resistance to heat, fuel, chemicals, UV rays, ozone, weathering, hydrolysis, and microbial erosion.

  4. Electrostatic discharge wire

In the green version, low-resistance metal wires woven into the hose body electrically connect the coupling fittings, enabling safe fluid transfer.

  5. High safety

Manufactured in accordance with the BS EN ISO 9001:2008 quality management system, materials, components, and finished products are rigorously inspected and stored to ensure reliability. Furthermore, the following safety and quality standards/specifications are met.

    • Supply of drinking water up to 50°C according to the UK Water Byelaws Scheme BS 6920.
    • Lloyd's Register of Shipping (LR standard: Lloyd's Register of Shipping)
    • USA Food & Drug Administration (CFR) 177.2600 Food Ingredient Transportation (Orange Version Only)
